Los Angeles' Ballet Presents "Quartet"
March 1, 8, 15 and 22, Throughout Greater Los Angeles Quartet combines masterworks from George Balanchine and Jiří Kylián with new works from rising choreographers Sonya Tayeh and Christopher Stowell. Tayeh’s ferocious jazz style blended with ballet has brought audiences and critics to their feet. Quartet will also include the company premiere of Return to a Strange Land, from master choreographer Jiří Kylián to music by Leoš Janáček, and Stars and Stripes by George Balanchine set to the rousing marches of John Philip Sousa. Three-Day Mardi Gras Celebration at Farmers Market
March 1-4, Farmers’ Market Los Angeles, Los Angeles The Original Farmers Market at Third & Fairfax in Los Angeles will celebrate its 25th annual Mardi Gras with three days of party, parades and panache. The celebration will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 1 & 2 and on the evening of Fat Tuesday, March 4. Nine bands covering the full spectrum of Cajun, Zydeco and New Orleans music will perform and there will be crafts activities and face-painting through the weekend.
The Book of Mormon
March 1 - May 11, Pantages Theatre, Los Angeles The Book of Mormon is the winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The Book of Mormon features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone are the four-time Emmy Award-winning creators of the landmark animated series, "South Park."

These series will join previously announced honorees: the PALEYFEST opening night presentation, Veronica Mars, Pretty Little Liars, and American Horror Story: Coven, which will close out the two-week celebration of great TV.
22nd Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition
March 1 – April 26, FIDM Museum & Galleries, Los Angeles If you like movies and want to appreciate the people who help make them, then this annual exhibition of costume design for film is well worth attending at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. The purpose behind featuring exhibits like these is to provide students, designers and the general public with a resource for exploring the impact historic fashions have had on society at large. Costumes featured in select 2013 films will be on display including last year’s Academy Award winner for Best Costume Design, Jacqueline Durran, for her work in “Anna Karenina” starring Keira Knightley.
